What does a “normal day” look like for you?

No two days are the same. When I’m working with clients, my day can include anything from change impact assessments and stakeholder alignment through to engagement strategies, communications planning, and developing supporting collateral - essentially anything that contributes to a smoother transition and stronger adoption.

How are you supported to be the best you?

To be the best version of me, I thrive on accessible support alongside autonomy. Being trusted to challenge and question when needed, while also being trusted in my skills, judgement, and output, allows me to do my best work.

What background / experience do you have?

The majority of my career has been within financial services, spanning investment management, sales, and change/transformation delivery. I’ve also delivered change across other sectors, including energy and property, and actually began my change career in a fast-growing supplements business. Ultimately, I’ve found that while industries - and their regulatory challenges - differ, effective change is transferable when the person delivering it keeps the “why” front and centre: smooth transitions and meaningful adoption.

What do you do in your spare time?

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my partner, family and friends, going on adventures with our fur child, getting creative, watching great cinema, and playing PlayStation. (Ask me that same question four years ago and the answer would have been very different!)

What do you specialise in?

I specialise in change delivery with a strong focus on user experience. Whether the user is internal, a client, or a client’s client, the people impacted by change are always central to how I approach my work and the decisions I make.

Why did you choose to work at Evotra?

I was given the opportunity to work for Evotra in 2022 when they still a relatively new company with a very small number of employees. What I liked about Evotra was how passionate both Dips and Sal were about this industry and helping their clients get the best from their technology. Although I had not worked with them previously, their strong reputation made it clear that Evotra would be an excellent environment to grow my skills and develop professionally.

What does a “normal day” look like for you?

A normal day at Evotra can be very varied, one day I can be in a workshop with clients chatting through their requirements, and the next I’m deep in a spreadsheet analysing thousands of lines of data. I’ve handled rEsolve queries that take only minutes to complete, as well as long term projects that span months or even years. I also love the flexibility I have. I know as long as I get the job done, I can attend a school assembly or take my children to the dentist, which is real weight off my mind as a parent. Evotra were fully supportive of my request to work a 4-day week and I’ve never felt any pressure to login on my non-working day.

How are you supported to be the best you?

I’m supported at work by leaders who give me the space, guidance, and trust I need to succeed. I’m encouraged to build on my strengths, develop new skills, and take on new opportunities.

What background / experience do you have?

My background is mainly in financial services software, where I’ve worked across a range of model office environments and large scale Financial Planning and Wealth Management implementations and transformation programmes. Over the years, I’ve been part of a variety of teams — from support and quality assurance to business analysis and implementation. Working in a variety of areas has given me a well rounded view of how these projects come together. To further broaden my expertise, I’ve recently been developing my project management skills.

What do you like to do outside of Evotra / Fun fact

Outside of work, friends, and family, my biggest passion is travel. Some of my most unforgettable experiences include watching the sunrise from the summit of Mount Fuji, enjoying sundowners while spotting lions in the Masai Mara, and taking in the beauty of the Taj Mahal. This year, I’m excited to be heading to Peru, where I’ll spend three nights in the Amazon — and hopefully conquer my fears of heights and spiders along the way!

What does a “normal day” look like for you?

My days are varied, from analysing data and developing migration scripts for clients to building time-saving apps and using AI to work more efficiently and deliver better solutions. Outside of work, I’m currently trying to fit in 10,000 steps a day — which can be a challenge when working from home!

How are you supported to be the best you?

I’m part of the Data Services team — a small but vital team — where collaboration and support are a big part of how we work. Colleagues outside of my team are also experts in their fields which means I have the full rEsolve service at my fingertips! I’ve also noticed ChatGPT is very supportive and positive when I ask things even responding with things like “Love that — it’s a great mix of fun and meaningful” (I do know it’s not a real person!)

Why did you choose to work at Evotra?

I first met Depesh during a project meeting and immediately felt that we were on the same wavelength. I was impressed by the way he communicated with colleagues — he came across as genuinely supportive, well-organised, and highly professional. That initial interaction gave me a strong sense of Evotra’s culture and values, and it felt like the right environment for me to grow and contribute. I knew someone that worked at Evotra so asked if they had any vacancies and they did!

What do you specialise in?

I enjoy solving problems and creating efficient solutions, which is why I get called on for anything data!

How are you supported to be the best you?

Whether it’s the service we are offering our clients, partners or internally, I truly believe that every day from the top down, we are looking at how we can level-up. I feel I am supported by the whole team, as we have a very open and honest culture and I feel everyone’s ideas and opinions are listened to. This drives me personally to want to be my best self so that I can contribute to our improvement.

What background / experience do you have?

The company went through a large technology transformation programme; around this time I transitioned to a Business Analyst role, focusing on process design and improvements. Following my time here, I worked for a UK wealth & technology platform in their Implementations team. I worked with wealth management client firms being ‘onboarded’ to the platform, this role involved everything from gathering business requirements and business process design, managing asset & CRM migrations, to business readiness, training and go live support.

Alex

Alex

Business Manager

Why did you choose to work at Evotra?

I had the opportunity to join the business in the early stages and put into place all of the central processes and systems, which is exactly what I love to do. In the first few months I found our first office, implemented a payment management system, created an expenses process, and found us a managed services provider. There were 5 of us including the co-founders when I first joined and the team has grown rapidly since then, so our processes and systems continue to evolve.

What does a “normal day” look like for you?

In my role, there’s no such thing. I jump from legal to finance to office management and everything in between all day, every day. I remember one day in particular where I onboarded a new joiner, registered a trade mark, booked our Christmas party, renewed our business insurances, and somehow managed squeeze in some compliance training. I’d call that a pretty standard day.

What do you specialise in?

I specialise in central business operations, systems and processes.

What background / experience do you have?

I have extensive experience working as an Executive Assistant to CEOs and senior leadership (and initially joined Evotra as an EA). EAs working at that level are much more involved in the business than most people realise; the role is broad and definitely not for the faint of heart. You need to be confident, professional, and highly skilled in project management, stakeholder management, negotiating, constant reprioritisation and creative problem solving (among many other things). EAs get a unique insight into how a business is run because not only do you work with the decision makers, but you also work with every single internal part of the business in one way or another; from facilities to legal, from finance to the print room. You truly see everything and I would encourage any budding entrepreneur to do a stint as C-level EA – if you can handle the pressure. Working as an EA has perfectly prepared me for the challenges I face as a business manager.

What do you enjoy outside of work

I love going to see live music, particularly grunge and rock. My favourite bands are Jimmy Eat World and Hole.
